Performance

Powered by an Intel Celeron N5105 processor, the LattePanda 3 Delta delivers a solid performance for its size. With speeds ranging from 2.0 GHz to 2.9 GHz, it competes with the top of the line ARM based SoCs. The 8GB of RAM is quite good for what it is, although competing high end SBCs can sport 16GB as well.

Connectivity and Expansion

One of the standout features of the LattePanda 3 Delta is its connectivity. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, which is quite recent compared to many of the other SBCs out there. There’s also a gigabit Ethernet port for when you need a wired connection.

It’s loaded with ports: USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HDMI, and GPIO pins, making it perfect for a variety of projects, from media centers to IoT applications.

Storage

The device comes with 64GB of eMMC storage, which is decent for the operating system and essential apps. If you need more space, there’s an M.2 slot for NVMe SSDs and a microSD card slot for extra storage options.

Software

The LattePanda 3 Delta supports both Windows 10, 11 and various Linux distributions, so you can choose the OS that best fits your needs. This flexibility, combined with its robust hardware, makes it a great choice for developers and hobbyists alike.

As one of the few boards that support Windows, you can develop a whole other class of applications. This is something most other SBCs can’t enable you.

Fan

If there’s something that needs to be discussed is the large fan. It’s front and center in the design, and it’s an improvement over the previous design. As opposed to ARM based processors, there’s no doubt that Intel processors are less efficient, and in order to get the most out of the device, a large fan is needed. This isn’t unique since the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 both need fans for any kind of real workload. But it doesn’t help that the

Price

Intel processors don’t come cheap, and the LattePanda 3 Delta can be purchased for around $239. That’s much higher than many other SBCs including those with similar processor and memory specs. You are getting much better wireless connectivity, 2.5Gb Ethernet, multiple high end USB 3.2 ports, more display and I/O capabilities. Then again, few SBCs can support Windows 10 and 11.

Our Take

The LattePanda 3 Delta is a step up in performance and has huge connecitivty, but all this comes at a larger price tag compared to similar CPU performance SBCs.
